Transaction help
Everything you need to know about sending, receiving, depositing, fees, and transaction statuses on RutoWallet.
How transactions work
RutoWallet supports two types of transactions: internal transfers between RutoWallet users, and blockchain transfers to external wallet addresses. Both are managed from your Wallet page inside the Dashboard.
Every transaction requires your transaction passcode to authorize. Make sure you have set one in your Security settings before attempting a transfer.
Transaction types
Internal transfer (Send)
Send funds to another RutoWallet user instantly using their username or email address. No blockchain fees apply. Funds arrive immediately.
Blockchain transfer (Send)
Send crypto to an external wallet address on a supported network (Ethereum, Bitcoin, Tron). A network fee applies and confirmation time depends on the blockchain.
Internal deposit (Receive)
Share your RutoWallet username or email so another user can send funds directly to your account. No address or network required.
Blockchain deposit (Receive)
Each supported token has a unique on-chain deposit address. Share this address to receive crypto from any external wallet on the corresponding network.
Supported networks and tokens
Ethereum (ERC-20)
Bitcoin
Tron (TRC-20)
Always verify you are using the correct network when depositing or sending. Sending to the wrong network may result in permanent loss of funds.
How to send funds
Open your Wallet
Go to your Dashboard and navigate to the Wallet page. Click the Send button to open the transfer modal.
Choose transfer mode
Select Internal to send to another RutoWallet user by username or email, or Blockchain to send to an external wallet address on a supported network.
Select network and token (blockchain only)
If sending on-chain, choose the network (Ethereum, Bitcoin, or Tron) and the token you want to send. The fee will be estimated automatically.
Enter amount and review
Enter the amount you want to send. Review the transfer details including the estimated fee before proceeding.
Enter your transaction passcode
Authorize the transfer by entering your 6-digit transaction passcode. If you have not set one, you will be prompted to do so first.
Transfer submitted
Internal transfers are instant. Blockchain transfers are submitted to the network and confirmation time depends on network congestion.
How to deposit (receive funds)
Open your Wallet and click Deposit
Navigate to the Wallet page and click the Deposit button to open the deposit modal.
Choose deposit mode
Select Internal if someone is sending from another RutoWallet account, or Blockchain if you are receiving from an external wallet.
Share your address or username
For internal deposits, share your username or email. For blockchain deposits, select the network and token to reveal your unique deposit address and QR code. You can copy the address or share the QR code directly.
Wait for confirmation
Internal deposits arrive instantly. Blockchain deposits require network confirmations which may take a few minutes depending on the network.
Transaction statuses explained
The transaction was processed successfully and funds have been delivered to the recipient.
The transaction has been submitted and is awaiting network confirmation. This is normal for blockchain transfers and usually resolves within minutes.
The transaction could not be completed. Common reasons include insufficient balance, incorrect address, or network issues. Funds are not deducted for failed transactions.
Fees
- Internal transfers between RutoWallet users are free with no network fee.
- Blockchain transfers incur a network fee that is estimated before you confirm the transaction.
- The fee amount depends on the network and current congestion. It is shown clearly in the review step.
- Fees are deducted from your balance in addition to the transfer amount. Ensure you have enough to cover both.
- RutoWallet does not add a markup to network fees. You pay the actual estimated network cost.
Viewing and exporting transaction history
All your transactions are available on the Transactions page. You can filter by All, Incoming, Outgoing, or Failed, and search by transaction hash, address, or amount.
Clicking any transaction opens a detailed view showing the transfer ID, amount, fee, network, status, and timestamps. From there you can export the receipt as a PNG image or PDF, or share it directly from your device.
View TransactionsCommon issues
My transaction is stuck as Pending
Blockchain transactions can take longer during periods of high network congestion. Wait at least 30 minutes before contacting support. Internal transfers should never be pending.
I sent to the wrong address
Blockchain transactions are irreversible once submitted to the network. If you sent to a wrong address, we cannot recover the funds. Always double-check the address before confirming.
I sent on the wrong network
Sending a token on the wrong network (e.g. USDT on Ethereum instead of Tron) may result in permanent loss. Always match the network of the sender and recipient.
My deposit has not arrived
Internal deposits are instant. For blockchain deposits, wait for the required number of network confirmations. If it has been over an hour, contact support with your transaction hash.
I received unexpected funds
Do not spend them. Visit the Unexpected Money Received help page for guidance on what to do.
